Ronald Streitz, Chief Fund Development Officer

Ron Streitz brings 44 years of nonprofit fundraising, management and consulting expertise to his role as Chief Fund Development Officer for Senior Services for Northern California, which he began in May of 2018.  Born and raised in Michigan, Ron’s experience as a non-profit executive has taken him from Michigan, to New York, and since 2008 in Northern California.  He obtained his B.A. from St., John’s University in Collegeville, Minnesota, and his M.A. from the University of Detroit.

Ron began working in philanthropy immediately after graduating from college, spending five years as Associate Director of a retreat and conference center operated by the Jesuit Province of Detroit.  He went on to work with a consulting firm in Birmingham, MI, where he gained further experience working on capital, endowment, major gifts, planned giving, annual giving, and special events projects. Over the past 22 years Ron has also specialized in the area of planned and major gift fundraising, helping donors achieve their personal and philanthropic goals through both current giving and giving through their estate plans.

Helping people realize their wish for a better world in a way that aligns with their vision, values, and goals is what keeps him inspired and involved in this work.  When there is a need, whether an emergency or day-to-day issue, people do step up to the plate and share their time, skills, and financial and material resources to address that need. Hearing about people’s motivation for doing so keeps him optimistic about the state of the world and our role in it.
