We Believe In The Benefits Of Ongoing Care And The Assurance Of Predictable Fees.

Residents pay an entrance fee and an ongoing monthly fee, both of which are based on the size of the residence selected and the number of occupants. While the fees are often comparable to the cost of living in a home of your own, your money goes much further at Viamonte. That’s because the monthly fee is used to pay for a variety of services, including your flexible monthly dining plan, all utilities, bi-weekly housekeeping, scheduled transportation, plus interior and exterior maintenance.

Becoming a resident also grants you access to all the on-site amenities and incredible programming available within the community. Most importantly, you enjoy financial predictability and peace of mind when it comes to your future health care needs — whether you have a long-term care insurance policy or not — thanks to being in a community where high-quality care is available from compassionate professionals when you need it most.

ENTRANCE FEE

The Viamonte entrance fee is 75% refundable to you or your estate at the termination of the Residence and Services agreement. The repayable portion will be paid to you if you choose to move from Viamonte, or to your estate upon your passing. The entrance fee ensures that you will receive all the benefits of residency, service and care.

Our fees have been determined based on a financial model that is affordable and sustainable. Upon paying your entrance fee, you will have a sense of security knowing that if you experience an unexpected need for health care services in the future, our professional staff will be available to guide and assist you.

INSURANCE AID AND TAX ADVANTAGES

Under current IRS guidelines, the non-refundable portion of your entrance fee may be submitted as a pre-paid medical expense in the year you occupy your Viamonte residence. Also, on an ongoing annual basis, a percentage of your total annual monthly fees paid is also eligible for the same tax benefit. That annual percentage varies based on the percentage of the community’s total expenditures related to health care. This information is tracked and shared with all Viamonte residents annually by the community’s Executive Director. Tax laws are, of course, constantly evolving and always subject to interpretation, but recent legal precedents have been favorable for CCRC residents who have sought to deduct portions of their deposits and fees. Of course, you and your tax preparation professional should consult closely to determine the best strategy.
