Viamonte at Walnut Creek Honored with 2022 LEED Homes Award
Sequoia Living is thrilled to announce that Viamonte at Walnut Creek, our newest senior living community, has been named a LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Homes Award winner in the Outstanding Multifamily Project category.
Presented by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), the annual LEED Homes Awards recognize green residential projects, developers, and builders using LEED to improve the quality of life for residents, reduce homes’ impact on the environment, and create healthier and more resilient communities.
A bold new vision in retirement living, Viamonte at Walnut Creek is a four-story, 191-unit, LEED Gold residential community designed to support residents’ active living and wellness, inspire resident and staff camaraderie, integrate into the larger surrounding mixed-used development, and maintain a core value of environmental stewardship in the building’s design and long-term operations.
Viamonte’s design and construction team includes HKIT Architects, StudioSIX5, KPFF Structural Engineers, Fard Engineers, Gates & Associates, Cahill Contractors, and Owner’s Representative, Harris & Associates. Development team consultants included Greenbrier Development, Levlane Associates, and Hanson Bridgett.
“On behalf of the Viamonte project team, it is an honor to receive the LEED Homes Award for Outstanding Multifamily Project,” said Dave Latina, Chief Business Development Officer at Sequoia Living. “This prestigious award reflects our commitment to creating sustainable, healthy, and beautiful places where residents can grow, connect, and thrive.”
