OUR FUNDS

Choose how your donation is used. Through Senior Services for Northern California’s funds, you can select how your charitable contributions—both large and small—can be put to work. You may also choose to have your gift support the areas of greatest need, through the Sequoia Living Unrestricted Fund.

Memory Care Funds support innovative programs and activities for Memory Care residents and their loved ones.

Health Center Funds provide special programs, equipment, and amenities for residents in the Health Centers or Assisted Living in Sequoia Living’s continuing care retirement communities.

Special Project Funds support new Sequoia Living projects or programs such as equipment upgrades, approved capital projects, new social programs, and other enhancements.

The Employee Emergency Relief Fund provides confidential, temporary support to Sequoia Living employees facing financial hardship in an emergency or disaster, such as a fire, flood, or health crisis.

This fund provides qualified Sequoia Living staff scholarships to enroll in education or training programs. Scholarship recipients receive 50% reimbursement for tuition, fees, and books.

The Tomorrow Fund provides confidential assistance to residents in our continuing care retirement communities who have outlived their financial resources. Your donation to the Tomorrow Fund helps these residents remain in their homes with stability and peace of mind.

An endowment is a permanent fund in which only the income and a portion of the realized and unrealized investment gain are spent for the fund’s purpose. Endowments are invested in a diverse portfolio of stocks, bonds, and real estate.

The Sequoia Living Unrestricted Fund supports areas of greatest need within all Sequoia Living communities and programs. Your donations to this fund enable us to quickly respond to emerging opportunities to improve the lives of residents and community members. You can also designate Unrestricted Fund gifts to benefit specific Sequoia Living residential communities.

Community Services, which supports two San Francisco Senior Centers, Experience Corps Bay Area tutoring program, and Resident Services at 19 low-income senior residential communities.
