Sequoia Living Becomes First Senior Living Partner of the Buck Institute’s LIVE Program

LIVE Program Announcement Sequoia Living and Buck Institute Partnership 2026, happy resident clapping, indoors

San Francisco, CA – Sequoia Living is excited to announce a new partnership with the Buck Institute for Research on Aging, becoming the first senior living organization to join the Institute’s LIVE program as a Gold Tier partner.

LIVE, Longevity Inspired Vitality Education, is the Buck Institute’s year-long, evidence-informed learning program designed specifically for Life Plan Communities, CCRC, and active or independent living environments. The program translates cutting-edge science into practical, accessible knowledge that supports healthier and more purposeful living.

This partnership reflects a growing interest among older adults in understanding the science behind aging and applying it in practical, meaningful ways.

“Our residents are curious, engaged, and always learning. Partnering with the Buck Institute allows us to support that mindset and reinforce that we Never Stop Growing, at every stage of life,” says Paula Rathgaber-Gomez, Chief Experience Officer at Sequoia Living.

Each monthly master class focuses on a key pillar of healthy aging, including brain health, mobility and fall prevention, heart health, strength and sarcopenia, metabolic fitness, sleep, immunity, and social connection.

As a Gold Tier partner, Sequoia Living will integrate Buck Institute science directly into resident programming and its approach to healthy, joyful aging.

In addition to the LIVE partnership, Sequoia Living is also a Seminar Sponsor for the Buck Institute’s Live Better Longer Community Seminar Series, a monthly in-person and virtual presentation featuring conversations with geroscience experts on sleep, exercise, nutrition, mental health, and other factors that support longer, healthier lives.
