Our Leadership Team

Charlie Shoemake brings over 35 years of accounting and finance experience to his role as Sequoia Living’s Chief Financial Officer. A seasoned operating finance executive, Charlie has a solid foundation in accounting practice and principles coupled with a strong emphasis on business intelligence and management reporting, credit analysis, and underwriting.

Prior to joining Sequoia Living, Charlie held a variety of senior financial executive positions, including CFO of a specialty finance company in the legal funding space, CFO of a national event staffing firm, CFO of a large privately held receivables management company, Senior Vice President of the Corporate Bank, and CFO for the Corporate Banking Division of PNC Financial Services, Inc., a top 10 US Bank. For several years, Charlie also served as a senior consultant with a national consulting firm working on complex accounting and business intelligence projects for a top tier financial services company.

Charlie earned both a BS in Accounting with Honors and an MBA in Finance from Indiana University. He began his career with KPMG where he successfully completed his requirements as a CPA.

Outside of work, Charlie is an avid golfer. He previously served as Executive Director of the Southwest Senior Golf Association and a Director of the Junior Golf Association of Arizona. He also enjoys biking, hiking, and sailing.
