David Madson
Chief Philanthropy Officer
As Chief Philanthropy Officer, David Madson works with Sequoia Living donors to help them achieve their philanthropic goals.
Before joining Sequoia Living, David held fundraising positions at Stanford University, Alameda Health System Foundation, Sutter Health CPMC Foundation, the University of California’s San Francisco and Berkeley campuses, and his alma mater, the University of Minnesota.
As a leader in the profession who is committed to ethical fundraising, David has earned the Advanced Certified Fund-Raising Executive (ACFRE) credential from the Association of Fundraising Professionals, where he has also served on the board of directors. David has always enjoyed working with older adults and has volunteered with Little Brothers: Friends of the Elderly in San Francisco and his hometown of Minneapolis for over 30 years.
