MEMORY CARE PROGRAMS

Our memory care programs are specifically designed to assist individuals with dementia, Alzheimer’s disease and cognitive changes. They are intended for those who have difficulties at home, but do not need a skilled nursing facility. Our professional staff spends valuable time with each resident, engaging in purposeful activities, stimulating conversation and enjoyable past times tailored to individual interests.

ADMISSIONS CRITERIA:

  • Approved Physician’s Report
  • Must be ambulatory
  • Approved Financial Application
  • Ability to pass in-facility assessment

PROGRAMS & SUPPORT:

  • Our team takes a personalized approach to help residents with cognitive impairment in a structured and calm environment. Licensed and certified staff are on site 24/7.
  • Cozy environment where residents feel comfortable and secure
  • Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapies available
  • Respite care provided when space is available
  • Private studio on a secure floor
  • Assistance with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, eating and medication management
  • Interactive games and activities

Sequoia Living conducts educational in-services throughout the year as a requirement, and that is reinforced by a mass training from an outside entity annually, usually highlighting the Best Friend Approach.

Each resident in memory care receives personalized hands-on care and assistance with all activities of daily living.

The community offers a weekly sightseeing van ride. For appointments and personal outings, residents typically arrange transportation with family members or through services such as Onward or GWart to accommodate their needs.

Residents enjoy delicious, chef-crafted meals from a rotating menu, featuring selections they choose each week. Every meal is thoughtfully crafted to support wellness and satisfaction, because good food is an essential part of feeling at home.
